MUMMIFIED ALIEN BODY DISCOVERED IN EGYPT
This story when it came out did not get enough (or any) press. This great find was totally ignored by the mainstream media. Not a whisper of this major paradigm shaking archaeological find. It was published in a Egyptian magazine “Rose El-Yussuf” in March 2000, and then vanished.
According to the article, in 1988, French Egyptologist Louis Caparat, discovered this mummy in 1988 in a secret room of the Great Pyramid and, “was found in a crystalline transparent case. At first the alien appeared to be hibernating,” or in a state of suspended animation. It’s believed to be a “humanoid,” which is a mix between an extraterrestrial race and human DNA.
Dr. Viktor Lubek stated:
“The body was said to be buried with great respect and care, and was accompanied by a number of strange artifacts made of a synthetic material that is not found in any other Egyptian tomb. Also the source claimed, “It’s unclear what sex it was, but we do know it had unusual reptilian-type skin, no external ears and overly large, almond-shaped eyes.”
A papyrus found near the body tells of this being’s encounter with the Pharaoh Khufu. Apparently, it said that this convinced the Pharaoh to build the Great Pyramid as a tomb for this being after he had announced the future arrival of other beings of his species (Source: the Egyptian magazine “Rose El-Yussuf” relayed by “The World Of The Unknown” in Issue 283 April 2000).
It was also determined from the papyrus that the people whom lived in Egypt during the Neolithic period was already very mixed, mostly consisting of people from the Mediterranean and Negroid that were dolichocephalic (Greek word meaning to have an elongated head).
The last update on this was that “Caparat sent a message to a colleague in Spain, Francisco de Braga, a biologist, inviting him to come to Egypt” to take blood, cell, tissue and DNA samples from the dead alien.” But when Dr. de Braga arrived in Cairo, he was detained by the Egyptian Ministry of State Security and put on a plane back to Madrid. According to Rose El-Yussuf, the dead alien was taken to a laboratory at an undisclosed location by Egyptian military intelligence.

Storm in Northeast delays flights at Houston airports
HOUSTON – There are multiple delays and cancellations this weekend at Houston airport because of the deadly weather in the Northeast.
There were 20 delays Friday night at William P. Hobby Airport from 1 to 7 hours, and Bush Intercontinental Airport had seven delays up to two hours on Friday night and 20 cancellations Saturday all over the Northeast.
Passengers should call their airlines before they head to the airport.
Houston Forecast: Chilly Saturday morning, ‘beautiful’ afternoon
- HOUSTON — The Houston area will experience “beautiful weather” this weekend as an arctic front moves into the Houston area in the next 48 hours, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
Friday night into Saturday morning won’t be quite as cold as Friday morning was, but we’ll still dip down into the 30s and 40s across town. There is a forecast high of 64 degrees.
“It will be a very nice day,” Garner said.
The clear skies carry over into Saturday before a slight rain chance returns on Sunday and Monday. The arctic chill arrives on Monday morning.
Temperatures this weekend will be in the 50s and 60s with early morning temperatures in the 40s.
Next week is looking nice and cool with another arctic blast expected to arrive Monday into Tuesday. Early Tuesday morning our temperatures could once again be in the 20s.
- HONOLULU (AP) — President Barack Obama is urging Congress to reinstate jobless benefits for more than a million Americans.
In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says the unemployment insurance is a “vital economic lifeline” for many people. And he says failure to reinstate the benefits will cause the economy to slow for all Americans.
A bipartisan proposal in the Senate would restore the benefits for three months. Obama says if lawmakers pass the measure, he will sign it.
Obama is due to return from vacation in Hawaii on Sunday.
Mississippi Congressman Gregg Harper delivered the Republican weekly address. He calls on the Senate to pass the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act. It seeks to boost funding for pediatric research at the National Institutes of Health.
The measure passed the House in December.
- BEIRUT (AP) — Five staffers of the international aid organization Doctors Without Borders have been taken in for questioning in northern Syria, the group said Friday.
The five staffers were taken “allegedly for questioning” from a Doctors Without Borders house in northern Syria, and have been out of contact since Thursday evening, said Michael Goldfarb, a spokesman for the aid group. He did not say whether the missing staffers had been taken by government forces or rebels fighting to overthrow President Bashar Assad, and refused to give further details out of concern for the missing workers’ safety.
Karin Ekholm, a spokeswoman for the Swedish branch of the organization, said those seized were Swedish, Danish, Swiss, Belgian and Peruvian nationals.
The Danish branch confirmed a Dane was among those taken.
“We are doing all we can to do re-establish contact with our colleagues,” the Danish branch said in a statement.
Rami Abdurrahman, the head of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said that members of the al-Qaida-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant had stormed a hospital in the northwestern province of Latakia and taken all of its doctors to an unknown location. Others were taken from their homes by ISIL members, he added.
Abdurrahman said it was not clear whether the Doctors Without Borders members were among those taken in Latakia.
Opposition-held areas of northern and eastern Syria have seen a wave of kidnappings over the past six months that has targeted journalists, aid workers and activists. Al-Qaida-linked rebel factions are suspected of being behind many of the abductions.
In October, several members of the International Committee of the Red Cross were briefly abducted in northwestern Syria. Many Syrian activists have fled the country after threats by ISIL and the killing of a number of citizen journalists.
Also Friday, activists reported heavy clashes between Syrian opposition fighters and ISIL members in the northern provinces of Aleppo of Idlib.
More than 130,000 people have been killed so far in the war, now in its third year, according to the Observatory. The group closely monitors the violence in Syria through a network of activists across the country. The U.N. said in July that 100,000 Syrians have been killed, and has not updated that figure since.
Millions of Syrians have been uprooted from their homes because of the fighting.
The crisis began as an uprising against President Bashar Assad’s government but later turned into a civil war. Over the past years, clashes between rival opposition groups became common in rebel-held areas.
The Observatory said Friday’s fighting was concentrated in the city of Aleppo and the nearby town of Atareb. Fighting between rebel factions and ISIL, which has many foreign fighters in its ranks, has been common in areas under opposition control.
The Aleppo Media Center reported clashes between the ISIL and the Mujahedeen Army in rebel-held western parts of Aleppo.
Tension has been rising between rebel groups and ISIL of late, especially after Tuesday’s killing of a senior rebel by the al-Qaida-linked group. The Observatory said the slain rebel, doctor Hussein Suleiman, was found dead after being shot several times and his ear was cut “with a sharp object.”
The newly created Islamic Front, an umbrella group of powerful, mostly ultra-conservative Islamic fighters, issued a statement ordering ISIL to hand over Suleiman’s killers so they can stand trial. Clashes later erupted between the groups.
A video released by activists showed dozens of people marching in Aleppo and chanting “Free Syrian Army forever, against ISIL and Assad.”
The video appeared genuine and corresponded to other AP reporting of the events depicted.
In Damascus, meanwhile, the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Suleiman al-Abbas, said “terrorists” attacked a gas pipeline in the area of al-Baitaryeh outside Damascus, causing a massive fire and a power outage in the capital and southern Syria. He said terrorists also targeted a gas line that supplies the Banias Power Station in the area of al-Zara outside the central city of Homs.
The government refers to those trying to topple Assad as terrorists.
- TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — A Libyan security official says military troops have detained two Americans in the restive eastern city of Benghazi.
The official says the two Americans are basketball players and members of the city’s al-Helal team. He says they were detained late Thursday at the Benghazi University campus.
The official did not give their names and spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.
It was not clear why the two were detained. There was no immediate comment from the U.S. Embassy in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
Last month, four U.S. military personnel were briefly taken into custody at a checkpoint in northwestern Libya and later released.
In September 2012, militants attacked the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, killing U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
Al Qaeda’s most significant victory in the Syrian war was achieved this week in the Iraqi arena. Its Iraq and Syrian branch (ISIS), under the command of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, resoundingly defeated the Iraqi army which two weeks ago launched a major offensive to relieve the country of the jihadist grip. Baghdadi’s troops were able to throw back the Iraqi army’s crack 7th and 1st divisions and keep going to capture large sections of Ramadi and Falluja, the key Sunni cities of western and central Iraq.
This victory enabled ISIS to forge a territorial chain of control stretching from Ramadi in central in Iraq, 110 km west of Baghdad, all the way to the northern Syrian town of Al-Raqqah, 160 km from Aleppo.
It also brought the Iraqi military offensive to a standstill. Soldiers downed arms and fled and units still intact started falling back toward Baghdad, dumping their heavy weapons to hasten their retreat.
DEBKAfile’s military sources report that Al Qaeda owes much of its victory to the decision of the Sunni tribes of western Iraq to join and spearhead its counter-attack on Iraqi forces. After smashing whole Iraqi units in the two cities, these tribal militias opened the door for the ISIS jihadists to march in.
Ironically, the tribal militias backing al Qaeda are the same “Awakening” groups which the US army sustained and armed for the battle to root out Al Qaeda from western Iraq during the 2005-2007 landmark “surge” campaign devised by Gen. David Petraeus.
That surge wheel has clearly turned round in favor of al Qaeda. Iraq’s military downfall is the worst it has suffered since the US invasion of the country in 2003 and al Qaeda’s greatest Middle East battlefield triumph, following which its commander Al-Baghdadi has vowed to proclaim the first Middle East caliphate stretching between western Iraq and eastern Syria.
This development has many critical ramifications:
1. There is no military force in the region capable of going into Iraq and stopping al Qaeda’s advance, which was allowed to happen in consequence of the US army’s precipitate exit from the country three years ago.
2. Al Qaeda’s fortunes in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula have received a major boost. The Sinai affiliates in particular are in close touch with Al Baghdadi.
3. The hook-up between them exacerbates the terrorist threat hanging over Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
4. The Nusra Front, Al Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate, has acquired strategic depth in Iraq. Its leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani (Golani) is expected to announce that his movement will join the new Islamist state.
5. A merger of the Iraqi and Syrian al Qaeda branches could draw in a host of sympathetic Middle East Islamist groups.
6. The ISIS victory in Iraq represents a humiliating setback for Tehran, which heavily backed the Iraqi army offensive led by its pro-Iranian prime minister Nouri al-Maliki for cleansing the country of the violent Al Qaeda presence.
7. The US, by its decision to send weapons to the Iraqi army for its engagement with al Qaeda, was shown to have backed the losing side.
8. The Iraqi army used up all its reserves for this offensive. Its only remaining option now is to fall back to Baghdad and regroup for the defense of the capital.
9. For Syrian President Bashar Assad and his Hizballah ally, Hassan Nasrallah, the Iraqi military debacle was the worst possible news. It struck them at the tipping moment of the Syrian war. Just as they gained the advantage over the rebel movement, they were confronted with a fresh war arena against al Qaeda now invigorated by its Iraq victory.

Majid-al-Majid, head of the al Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades, was reported by the Lebanese army Saturday to have died in prison five days after his arrest. His group was held responsible for bomb attacks on the Iranian embassy in Beirut and Hizballah strongholds, as well as rocket attacks on northern Israel. He was arrested in Beirut on Dec. 30, on his return from signing in Syria a cooperation pact providing the Nusra Front with logistical facilities at Abdullah Azzam strongholds in S. Lebanon near the Israeli border. Sources in Beirut suspect Hizballah’s involvement in ak-Majid’s death after the Lebanese army refused to hand him over, or else that he chose to kill himself for fear the army would not withstand the pressure.

After seizing the heart of the western Iraqi town of Falluja, Al Qaeda’s local branch (ISIS) Friday night decreed it the capital of a new independent caliphate. The jihadists continue to push Iraqi forces out of another western Sunni town, Ramadi. To cover up the army’s inability to stop Al Qaeda’s advance, the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki Saturday reported that the jihadists had sustained heavy losses and that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdad had been killed in battle. DEBKAfile: Western sources counter this claim with a report that Al Baghdadi is still orchestrating the counter-offensive against the Iraqi army from Baqouba in the eastern province of Diyala. If this is confirmed, it would mean that al Qaeda continues to seize territory.
US Spy Court: NSA to Keep Collecting Phone Records
The secretive U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court on Friday renewed the authority of U.S. intelligence agencies to collect data on millions of Americans’ telephone calls in a program that has set off a legal battle over privacy rights.
The court allowed the intelligence community to collect metadata from phone companies, the Office of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in a news release.
The release offered almost no details about the ruling, but a U.S. official said the authority was renewed for three months, and that it applied to the entire metadata collection program.

Thousands of books, manuscripts torched in fire at historic Lebanese library (PHOTOS)
Firefighters struggled to subdue the flames as the decades-old Al-Saeh library went up in smoke on Friday in the Serail neighborhood of Tripoli. Despite firefighters’ best efforts, little of the trove of historic books and manuscripts was recovered from the wreckage.
“Two thirds of some 80,000 books and manuscripts housed there,” a security source told Agence France Press, referring to the items destroyed. The source added that the blaze was started after a manuscript insulting the Prophet Mohammed was found hidden in the pages of one of the library books.
A demonstration had been planned in Tripoli after the pamphlet was found but was reportedly called off after the library’s Greek Orthodox owner spoke with Muslim leaders. Lebanese news outlet Naharnet also reported that one of the library workers was shot and wounded Thursday night.
“The library owner, Father Ebrahim Surouj, met with Islamic leaders in Tripoli. It became clear the priest had nothing to do with the pamphlet, and a demonstration that had been planned in protest over the incident was called off,” the source said.
However, Ashraf Rifi, former head of the Internal Security Forces, told AP the attack had nothing to do with a pamphlet and was, in fact, triggered by speculation that Father Surouj had written a study on the internet that insulted Islam.
“This criminal act poses several questions [about] the party behind it that aims at damaging coexistence in the city and ruining its reputation,” Rifi told AFP. The Lebanese police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Sectarian tensions have been rising in Lebanon recently as a result of the ongoing, two-year conflict in neighboring Syria. Until recently, the violence usually spared Christian minority groups. In December the northerly city of Tripoli saw a spate of attacks on the Alawite community in the latest spillover from Syria’s civil war.
In the attacks eight individuals were abducted from a bus on their way home from work, while one man was pulled out of a taxi by masked gunmen. The victims were then shot in the legs by the gunmen.
Syrian President Bashar Assad is a member of the Alawite sect, which is an offshoot of Shia Islam.
Human Rights Watch has called on Lebanon to address the escalating sectarian violence in Tripoli, saying that the authorities’ response has been too “weak.”
“With battles going on in Tripoli and with people being targeted, beaten, knifed, and killed, the Lebanese government can’t afford to sit on its hands,” Joe Stork, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said in a statement Friday.

“Mean temperatures across Australia have generally been well above average since September 2012. Long periods of warmer-than-average days have been common, with a distinct lack of cold weather.”
The bureau said that Australia’s 2012-2013 summer was the warmest on record, and included a prolonged national heatwave which ended on January 19, 2013 — the first day since 31 December, 2012 that it did not reach 45 degrees Celsius (113 F) somewhere in the nation.
Spring was also the warmest on record and winter the third warmest, meaning that overall, the annual national mean temperature was 1.20 degrees Celsius above average.
The bureau pointed to destructive fires, in the island state of Tasmania in early 2013, which were followed by a record warm and dry winter across the country.
Spring appeared to arrive early and culminated in “the most destructive fires in the Sydney region since at least 1968”.
The weather authority, which last year introduced new colours on its temperature scale to cater for more extreme highs, said the Australian warming was very similar to that seen on the global scale.
“And the past year emphasises that the warming trend continues,” it said.
This year is also starting warmly, with records already under threat in some Outback towns. In Moomba in northern South Australia, the temperature topped 48 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The highest temperature ever recorded in Australia was 50.7 Celsius in Oodnadatta in 1960.
Sarah Perkins, a climate system science researcher at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, said the report confirmed that the impacts of global warming were starting to be felt.
“While records are occasionally broken here and there, the amount of temperature records broken in the last year is extraordinary,” she said.
“Studies have already shown that the risk of summers like 2013 occurring have increased by up to five-fold, because of human induced climate change.”
Professor Roger Jones, a lead author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Working Group II Fifth Assessment Report to be released later this year, said the findings should concern all Australians.
“While the increases in average temperatures may seem to be benign — heat waves are increasing faster than those averages,” said Jones, a research fellow at Victoria University in Melbourne.
“Why heat waves are longer and hotter than anticipated is not yet clear, but they are contributing to greater fire danger and heat stress than projected by climate impact studies, affecting animals, plants and humans.”
University of Melbourne climate scientist David Karoly said the record high average temperature was remarkable because it did not occur in an “El Nino” year, when conditions in Australia are usually drier and warmer.
He said that in climate modelling experiments conducted so far it was not possible to reach such a temperature record due to natural climate variations alone.
“Hence, this record could not occur due to natural variability alone and is only possible due to the combination of greenhouse climate change and natural variability on Australian average temperature,” he said.
Ian Lowe, emeritus professor of science, technology and society at Queensland’s Griffith University and president of the Australian Conservation Foundation, said the report confirmed expectations.
“2013 was the hottest year on record for Australia, showing that there is no rational basis for the claim that warming has slowed in recent years,” he said.http://news.yahoo.com/australia-endures-hottest-record-031257896.html
Three years ago, Asaia Bibi was a farm worker in Pakistan when she became subject of a dangerous accusation: “You insulted the Prophet!” In no time, the mother of five had been shepherded to the district court in the town of Nankana Sahib in Punjab province. The judges found Bibi, a Christian, guilty of blasphemy and imposed the death sentence.
It turned out Bibi was the victim of character assassination. Nonetheless, she remains in prison, and execution still looms. Blasphemy legislation in Pakistan makes it easy to put unpopular people behind bars, be they Christian, Muslim or atheist. There is a growing number of similar stories, according to the “Ecumenical Report on the Religious Freedom of Christians Worldwide” which was published recently as joint research by Germany’s leading denominations. The report found that violations of the right to religious freedom had steadily increased since 2007, as a result either of state legislation or of social enmity.
The report says this is true for all faiths on all continents. Muslims are oppressed in 117 states, making Islam the second-most heavily discriminated against religion.
However, Christianity, the world’s largest religion, with about 2.18 billion believers of varying denominations, tops the list. Christians are discriminated against in 130 countries.
A church in Indonesia torched by Muslims
Christian churches are the target of attacks by Muslims in Indonesia
Nikolaus Schneider, the head of Germany’s Protestant Church (EKD), and Catholic Archbishop Robert Zollitsch commissioned the report with a special focus on “Christians who fall victim to hatred, distress and persecution.” It is of general interest, both Schneider and Zollitsch insist in their foreword: “Where Christians are harassed, the freedom of other religious faiths is under pressure, too.”
Others suffer, too
The study’s author, human rights expert Theodor Rathgeber, decided not to rely on estimates to determine where such suppression takes place and how it works. The Göttingen-based researcher based his findings on studies conducted by PEW Research Centers, which in turn are based on data from the US State Department and other international information registers, as well as data from Human Rights Watch.
“In general, restrictions are not specifically directed against Christians,” Rathgeber concluded. Instead, they show a “social environment in which other religious communities and non-religious groups alike are similarly affected,” he told DW.
Egypt, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Myanmar, Iran, Vietnam, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nigeria: These states exercise the greatest constraints on the freedom of religion, according to the report. In 64 other countries, significant restrictions by the government – anti-blasphemy legislation or privileges for certain communities – are verifiable. They include states with large populations like China, India and Russia. As a result, about 70 percent of the world population is subject to great or extreme restrictions.

This Coptic church in Egypt was also set on fire – by unknown perpetrators
Casualties not included
Religious communities in North Africa and in Asian countries under authoritarian rule, like China and Myanmar, as well as the Middle East – including Iran – are affected primarily by restrictions. The study took note of an increase in human rights violations in sub-Saharan Africa – which includes limits on the freedom to practice one’s religion. Due to the situation in some Eastern European countries, Europe doesn’t shine, either.
The study deliberately abstains from numbering casualties, Rathgeber points out, adding that such figures are unreliable because they are usually based on estimates. The Open Doors aid organization claims there are 100 million persecuted Christians across the globe.
The churches’ report notes cases of Christian persecution in many nations – but above all in Muslim countries. In Egypt, for instance, Muslims are prevented from formally converting to Christianity. Often, they are threatened with imprisonment and denied identity documents stating their new religion. About 80 million Christians live in Nigeria, the most populous country in sub-Saharan Africa, and many of them are subjected to hostilities from their Muslim fellow countrymen.

Secret meetings: The “Open Doors” aid organization supports Christians in North Korea
Indonesia’s protestant Filadelfia Community hasn’t been able to erect a church southwest of the capital, Jakarta, despite its right to do so. “The pastor received death threats, churchgoers were pelted with stones, bags filled with urine, and rotten eggs, and street blockades stopped them from entering the property,” the report says, adding that the police stand by and do nothing, while the district administrator ignores the administrative court’s rulings.
In Vietnam, non-conformist churches are greatly disadvantaged. Christians in Pakistan and non-conformists in Iran live dangerously, too, the report says; and “almost all Christians have been driven out of North Korea.” The study also found “evidence of rehabilitation centers in North Korea, where members of religious as well as secular organizations who show dissident tendencies are committed to be re-educated and brainwashed.”
To this day, derogatory remarks about non-Muslim religious communities can be found in Turkish schoolbooks. Christians and Jews are vilified in the media, the report says. “Pastors are hassled by threatening phone calls, while Protestant churches are devastated and damaged, and individuals and buildings are placed under police protection.”http://www.dw.de/persecuted-christians-suffer-for-their-faith/a-17306297
Rand Paul to File Class-Action Lawsuit Against Obama Admin
In an exclusive Hannity interview, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) announced a class-action lawsuit against President Obamaover the National Security Agency’s surveillance program.
The Republican senator told guest host Eric Bolling on Friday night, “The question here is whether or not, constitutionally, you can have a single warrant apply to millions of people. So we thought, what better way to illustrate the point than having hundreds of thousands of Americans sign up for a class-action suit.”
Paul believes that the government can protect against terrorism without Americans giving up their privacy. “We want them to protect the Fourth Amendment. We want them to protect the right to privacy. We want them to understand that we’re not willing to trade our liberty for security.”
Over the last six months, Paul has received about several hundred thousand signatures. He said anyone in America with a cell phone is eligible for this class-action suit.
Paul said the goal is to “overwhelm” the administration and to show publicly that they object to the government collecting phone records without permission.
The current attorney general of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli, is part of the legal team. He was the first AG to file a lawsuit against ObamaCare. Paul hopes they’ll be able to get a hearing in court and ultimately, to the Supreme Court.
Half Moon Bay Review, Jan. 3, 2014 at 8:21p ET: [San Mateo] County health officials first learned of the radiation levels last week, and they sent their own inspector on Dec. 28 to Pacifica […] the county inspector measured the beach to have a radiation level of about 100 micro-REM per hour [1 microsievert per hour], or about five times the normal amount. […] Although the radiation levels were clearly higher than is typical, [San Mateo County environmental health director Dean Peterson] emphasized that it was still not unsafe for humans. […] Peterson admitted he was “befuddled” as to why radiation levels were higher than normal, but he was skeptical that the Fukushima meltdown could be the cause. He noted that many innocuous items could spike the radiation levels in an area, including red-painted disposable eating utensils. […] Peterson forwarded the matter to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state Department of Public Health […]

January 4, 2014 – GEOLOGY – Mysterious lights that occur before or during earthquakes have been noted by eyewitnesses for centuries but, until now, have baffled scientists. In one example from 1727, a man from New England reported how he felt the ground shake then saw a ball of light roll onto his dog, causing the animal to yelp. In Peru in 2009, a fisherman said he saw the sky turn violet before the earthquake, while in L’Aquila in 2009, a man saw white flashes before the tremor struck. Researchers writing in the publication Seismological Research Letters have now put forward a theory about this mystery glowing, which takes place in geological rifts when the ground is being torn apart. The authors looked at several studies about earthquake lights to propose a mechanism for why they occur, Nature magazine reports. They compiled all the reports of earthquake lights from 1600 to date, focusing on 27 earthquakes in the US and 38 in Europe. Of the 65 studied, 56 earthquakes occurred along ancient or active rift zones. A further 63 took place where geological faults that ruptured were almost vertical – many fault lines have much smaller angles. Lead author Robert Thériault, a geologist at Quebec’s Ministry of Natural Resources in Quebec City, said: “Earthquake lights are a real phenomenon – they’re not UFOs. They can be scientifically explained.”
John Ebel, a geophysicist at Boston College in Massachusetts, explained why there have been problems studying this phenomenon in the past: “It’s just not a regular area of scientific inquiry, because there’s no way to do an experiment on them.” In the study, the authors say that during an earthquake, the rocks grinding against each other generate electric charges that travel up along the fault lines. When they reach Earth’s surface, they create a glow. They believe the steep geometry explains the earthquake lights. Team member Friedemann Freund, a mineral physicist at the NASA Ames Research Center in California, believes a chemical process causes the lights. “When the stress of an earthquake hits the rock, it breaks chemical bonds involved in these defects, creating holes of positive electrical charge,” Nature reports. “These ‘p holes’ flow can vertically through the fault to the surface, triggering strong local electric fields that can generate light.” However, Ebel said there are a number of other reactions that may be responsible for these mystery lights: “It makes enough sense, but that doesn’t mean that it’s right.” Theriault added that while they have not yet got a definitive answer about the lights, awareness of their presence could help as a warning sign for earthquakes.
Mass Animal Deaths
There are animals dying all over the world today in huge numbers, due to the polluted state of the sea and air. Millions of Fish and massive numbers of whales and dolphins are washing ashore dead. Birds are falling dead out of the sky, and millions of poultry are dying from avian flu. The animals of the land like cattle are also dying in large numbers from disease. Although animals and fish have been dying all throughout history, we have not seen the massive consistent numbers that we are seeing today. Please remember! This is just one of the MANY signs of the last days.

There is no doubt that these mass animal deaths occuring around the world today is one of the many signs of the times, showing that we are living in the last days. Throughout history we have not seen animals dying in these kinds of numbers all around the world. But the earth and the seas are so polluted now fromman made chemicals and oil spills, the animals just don’t stand a chance! But this was to be expected, as God already warned through Bible prophecy that this world is heading for complete ruin. Friends, it’s time to turn to Christ Jesus. He is our ONLY hope for the future.http://www.end-times-prophecy.org/animal-deaths-birds-fish-end-times.html
For years now, we have been telling you that the there is coming a One World System which, under the rule of the Antichrist, will be controlled by what the bible calls the Mark Of The Beast. If you refuse this mark, you will be locked out of everything. You won’t be able to buy anything, sell anything, and now it looks like even your own home will be used against you.
The RFID Microchip, in all its various forms and evolutions, is more and more becoming the gateway as well as the gatekeeper to every aspect of our daily lives. The world system that it runs is the world system we now live under.
Prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes, the future has arrived. Can you see it?
Telegraph UK: This was the year that tablets and smartphones truly matured; 2014 should be the year when our homes finally start to get as smart as our phones.
The past 12 months have witnessed some remarkable innovations. Samsung introduced eye-tracking technology that — although imperfect — knows when to scroll up on a screen, and Apple crammed eye-watering computing power into its iPad Air. Yet consumers admit to already being impatient for the next big thing. The honeymoon period for a new gadget is four months, with users confessing that boredom sets in beyond that.
But never mind four months, according to mobile operator O2 a quarter of consumers claimed they were bored within just four weeks, eager to upgrade as their friends and colleagues got newer phones.
Indeed, the greatest challenge facing gadget manufacturers is ever-diminishing profit margins, coupled with the need to invest and maintain excitement. Our gadget of the year is the Motorola Moto G — not because it is the most extraordinary phone, but because it is an amazing purchase for £135. As chief executive Dennis Woodside remarked, prior to the launch: “You can buy five for the cost of an iPhone”. The trend, overall, was for amazing smartphones and tablets fighting against the oncoming juggernaut of commoditisation.
But there is very much a next big thing coming. That smartphone or tablet is no longer merely a portable window on the web, it’s increasingly the gateway to an internet of things, whereby your coffee machine, washing machine, heating, even your garden, are all connected to the internet.
What may sound like a futuristic set-up is approaching faster than anyone anticipated. Sky’s Now TV box offers almost all the television available from a satellite dish over the internet. Sonos’s music players give you all the world’s music at your fingertips. Nest offers a web connection for your smoke alarm so you can see where the fire is (and turn the alarm off from your phone when you realise it’s only the toast that you’ve burnt). And your yucca can even inform you, via an app, when it needs watering.
Some of these new ideas may feel gimmicky. Philips’ Hue light bulbs, for example, can be any colour you want, instantly controlled from your phone again. But the question is not who needs red light bulbs in their home, it’s what does the house of the future look like when it has one single remote control for light, heat, television and security?
The HomeMonitor camera, for instance, is now a mainstream object that uses the web and a smartphone screen to show you what’s going on, rather than recording its CCTV footage to tape. Meanwhile, companies such as Honeywell and British Gas are keen to emphasise their smart credentials with connected heating and cooling systems.
All this may not herald a Jetsons-style world of flying cars and jet packs, but there’s no disputing the web will be everywhere in 2014. In the not-too-distant future, Google’s driverless cars will be simply another example of connected objects, whisking you from place to place, with the dashboard located on your phone.http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/blog/?p=15911
As the New Year enters and the old year departs, it is time for me to produce my annual By The Numbers, year in review. It has no particular meaning, other than it demonstrates that either I have too much time on my hands, or I enjoy research and manipulation of data as a hobby. Both, I think!
A few years ago I became interested in the schism between what I saw were definite increased numbers of global earthquakes and the US Geological Survey’s equally definite insistence that quakes were not increasing. I decided to look into the data, using their own numbers, benchmarks, and search engines. Well guess what? Earthquakes were increasing.
Jesus said that His coming would be preceded by signs. Some of these signs are emotional, such as men becoming greedy, loveless, brutal, etc, as listed in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Some of the prophesied signs are religious, such as apostasy rising among the professing church, false doctrine being accepted, and a loss of discernment, as many verses in 1 John, 1 Thessalonians, and other passages tell us. Some of the signs would be geophysical or celestial. There will be earthquakes in diverse places, the seas will be roaring, there will be signs in the skies and so on.
Most of those signs mentioned in the passages, notably Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Revelation 6, are going to occur in the Tribulation period. However, the signs Jesus enumerated and are listed elsewhere in the Old and New Testaments are for the entire church age and will continue into the Tribulation. The church age is between the moment Jesus ascended (Acts 1:11) and when He calls for His bride, ending the Age of Grace. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). The Tribulation period will begin the moment after the rapture and finish when Jesus returns to the Mount of Olives. (Zechariah 14:4). His signs of return are spread throughout the church age and then are clustered heavily well into the Tribulation.
As Jesus likened the signs to birth pangs, and birth pangs increase as the event nears, so will the signs increase. I could look at numbers of baptisms to determine if apostasy is rising, or number of crimes to see if lovelessness is increasing, but there is a large element of subjectivity to them. Instead I just concentrate on the geophysical signs presented in hard data because there is a lesser amount of subjectivity included in the results. It is in that context that I put together an annual look at the data than can be quantified.
One final caveat: we don’t need signs to tell us Jesus is coming, because He said He is coming and that is all we need to know. I do this out of curiosity and interest, not because we need validation from scientific sources for the certainty of His appearing.
Meanwhile we can learn from the lessons every disaster gives us. John MacArthur’s church is in California. In January 1994 a tremendous earthquake occurred. It is known as the Northridge quake. The earthquake had a “strong” moment magnitude (Mw) of 6.7, but the ground acceleration was one of the highest ever instrumentally recorded in an urban area in North America.
The epicenter was practically underneath Grace Community Church. Five days later, Dr MacArthur delivered a sermon titled “Lessons from the Earthquake.” It is a tremendously relevant and insightful sermon, and I urge you to read to or listen to it. Here are the main bullet points he shared. In every calamity, there are many lessons for the Christian, and many other, separate lessons for the non-Christian. He preached 7 lessons for each.
Lessons for Christians
God is sovereign,
What is eternal can’t be destroyed,
Disaster produces dependence on God,
Adversity enriches fellowship,
Suffering makes us long for the perfect kingdom,
Calamity strengthens us to serve others,
What is the greatest calamity can bring God the most glory.
Lessons for not Christians
For those unprepared to die, lesson number one, life is fragile,
There are limits to self-protection,
Death is inevitable,
We live in a cursed world,
Temporal disasters are only previews of coming attractions,
God uses calamity to call people to repentance,
Time is limited to heed the warning.
Time is limited. All of history is dwindling down to the moment when Jesus will return, and judge the living and the dead for all eternity. THAT is the main lesson I share with you. Repent, while there is still time. Let these statistics and notes be a lesson to you and to us all through the year: life is fragile, and to enter death unprepared is an eternal tragedy.
